Everyone knows that National Ice Cream day was earlier this month, but did you know that this WHOLE month is actually National Ice Cream Month?!? In honor of this glorious holiday, we decided to take a trip to San Francisco to visit the Museum of Ice Cream. It was so cool!
The first room was the welcoming room where we got 1 spoon of ice cream and got to swing! Within this room was also the sprinkle pool. This was so cute and fun, except the sprinkles got stuck in everything!
After the sprinkle pool, we headed downstairs to the ice cream vault. Each step of the way, there was a person who would explain a little of what was going on. It was very cute! The next room was the whipped cream room. We were handed pop rocks because I believe it was dedicated to the “toppings” on ice cream.
This led us to a room with letters all over the walls, where we spelled out some fun stuff. Not sure what this had to do with ice cream, but I am sure they explained it and I just missed it! After this room, we were led to the cherry cloud room. Before we entered, they had made us text a loved one to let them know we care about them then handed us some cotton candy. It was adorable!
The next room was the gummy bear forest. I’m not sure if it was actually called that, but that’s what it felt like! No treats were given here, but we did get to take a cute picture. After the gummy bear forest, was the rainbow room. Cool psychedelic room where we were handed little sorbet popsicles. They made us shout something we felt strongly about to get this sorbet. FINALLY, the last room was the mint room. Everyone loves mint chocolate chip, so they had made a room out of it. They also left us with one last treat of Mint Chocolate Chip Mochi.
Looking back, I did not realize how many different rooms there were in such a small place! It was really fun and I would do it again. It is hard to get tickets to the one in LA, but I urge everyone to try.
If you have been, please share some pics! We’d love to see
